What is the DPi (Dual Profile Insert)?
The DPi is a mechanical insert inside the damper that changes the valve profile based on the shaft’s position in its stroke. In the first portion of travel, the damper provides a softer, more compliant response for small road imperfections. As the shaft moves deeper into the stroke, the insert engages a firmer profile for body control and high-load cornering support.
How does the DPi work with the electronic MFC?
The DPi provides a mechanical base layer of position-sensitive damping, while the MFC electronically adjusts the overall damping curve on top of that. Think of the DPi as setting the shape of the response and the MFC as shifting the whole curve up or down. Together they offer more range and nuance than either system alone.
Is the PROactive DPi suitable for street driving?
