Meisterschaft Motorsport · U.S. JRZ Importer
JRZ Damper Service & Rebuilds
Rebuilds, revalving, spring rate changes, and setup support for the full JRZ range and other rebuildable motorsport dampers, handled in the U.S. by the factory importer.
Every JRZ damper is built to be serviced, not thrown away. The monotube hardware inside an RS or Motorsport Series damper is a precision instrument, and like any instrument it needs periodic maintenance to keep doing what it was valved to do. Meisterschaft Motorsport is the official U.S. importer of JRZ Suspension, listed by JRZ as a United States service location, and we run our damper service program the same way we run everything else: engineering first, with genuine parts and direct factory support. JRZ is our specialty, but the same bench, tooling and engineering also service other rebuildable motorsport dampers, so you have one place to send whatever is on the car.
What we service
| Service | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Full rebuild | Complete teardown, new seals and guide components, fresh oil, nitrogen recharge, and reassembly to JRZ factory specification. The standard refresh for a damper that has done its service interval. |
| Revalve / spec change | Changing the damping characteristics for a new use case: a different tire, a different class, more aero, or a car the dampers are moving to. Done against JRZ factory data rather than guesswork. |
| Spring rate changes | Rate changes with matched valving guidance, so the spring and the damper stay a designed pair instead of drifting apart. |
| Inspection & diagnosis | Leak-down assessment, shaft and body inspection, gas pressure check, and post-incident checks after an off or a crash. |
| Upgrades while open | If the damper is already apart, it is the cheapest possible time to add options or refresh top mounts and hardware. We will tell you what is worth doing and what is not. |
Service pricing
Rebuild pricing is per damper and covers a full teardown, new seals and guide components, fresh oil, nitrogen recharge, a dyno check, and reassembly to factory specification.
| Damper line | Rebuild, per damper |
|---|---|
| JRZ RS ONE | $280 |
| JRZ RS TWO | $300 |
| JRZ RS PRO & RS PRO3 | $300 |
| JRZ Motorsport Series 11 & Series 12 | $300 |
| 50 DA double-adjustable shaft | $350 |
| JRZ PROactive (active damping) | Call for quote |
Parts beyond standard seals are billed separately. A standard rebuild includes seals, o-rings, oil and gas. If a damper needs anything more, such as a shaft, piston, bearings or monoballs, hoses, or crash-damage repair, we quote those parts and any added labor and get your approval before we proceed. No surprise invoices.
Revalving is billed hourly at $150 per hour, dyno time included. A revalve changes the damping curve for a new tire, a new class, or a new setup goal, so the time depends on how much tuning and testing your target calls for. We give you an estimate before we start.
Why service with the importer
- Genuine JRZ parts, always in the pipeline. We import from the JRZ factory every week. Seals, internals, and service parts come from the source, not from a parts-bin equivalent.
- Direct factory engineering access. As the U.S. importer we work with JRZ’s engineers directly and can reference factory build specifications for your dampers. Your rebuild is put back to what the factory intended, or revalved from a known baseline.
- Run by an engineer. Service decisions are made by a mechanical engineer with OEM vehicle development and professional race engineering experience, not by a parts counter.
- Setup advice included. A rebuild is a natural moment to review spring rates, ride heights, and adjuster baselines for how you actually use the car. Ask, and we will go through it with you.
Not just JRZ
JRZ is what we import and know in the most depth, but a well-built motorsport damper is a rebuildable instrument no matter whose badge is on it. If you are running another manufacturer’s serviceable coilover or damper, we can usually rebuild, revalve, and re-spring it to the same engineering standard we hold JRZ to. Send us the model and photos of the serial numbers, and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can service and what it will take.
How it works
- Tell us what you have. Damper model, the car, how it is used, and what prompted the service (interval, leak, damage, or a spec change). Photos of the serial numbers help.
- We quote scope and current lead time. You get a straight answer on cost and turnaround before anything ships.
- Ship the dampers to our Florida facility. We confirm receipt and put them in the queue.
- Teardown and assessment. If we find anything beyond the quoted scope, you approve it before work continues. No surprise invoices.
- Rebuild, recharge, and return. Your dampers come back to factory specification with a record of what was done.
When a JRZ damper needs service
Track and race cars: plan on a rebuild roughly every 30 to 50 track hours, or annually for a car that races a full season. Dampers fade gradually, and by the time the driver feels it the platform has been giving away lap time for a while.
Street and street-track cars: service intervals stretch considerably with street use. Two to three years of mixed use is a reasonable check-in point, sooner if you see oil residue on the damper body, hear knocking, or feel the car float where it used to feel tied down.
After any crash or hard off: have the dampers inspected even if they look straight. A bent shaft or a shocked piston assembly is not always visible from outside, and it is far cheaper to catch during an inspection than after it takes out a seal head at speed.
