Marc Wynter –
I’ve had the JRZ RS ONE coilovers on my 997 GT3 for a few months now. The car isn’t my daily driver, but I’ve driven on them across a good mix of road conditions, from smooth pavement to rough and crappy roads with lots of dips and compressions. The difference over stock is immediately noticeable: sharper turn-in, flatter cornering, and a lot more confidence pushing the car.
The single adjustment makes dialing things in easy. I started at 5 clicks, as recommended in the manual. It was very compliant, but too soft for my liking. I moved up to 9, then ultimately settled on 11 for everyday driving. I might try a few more clicks, but right now there’s a nice balance of control and compliance on rough pavement, with a feel similar to stock without being jarring.
The buying process with Meisterschaft Motorsport Engineering was smooth from start to finish. Sven from MME provided me with some solid advice on spring rate options that I’m very happy with so far. I had a local shop install them, and it was a straightforward job for anyone that’s worked on these cars before. These are my first set of higher-end motorsport coilovers (I’ve had Bilsteins and H&R on other cars before), and the build quality was every bit as good as I expected given JRZ’s reputation.
I highly recommend them for anyone on a 997 GT3 wanting a real upgrade over stock while keeping the adjustment options simple.
