Setup Help

We help you dial it in

JRZ 12 Series triple adjustable motorsport damper for the BMW M3 E46 (1999-2004). Adds low speed compression bypass to independently adjustable compression and rebound, enabling precise tuning of pitch, roll, and vehicle balance. Features the JRZ 8060 motorsport piston and upgradeable to quad-adjustable with the 50 DA option. Built to order through Meisterschaft Motorsport Engineering, the official U.S. importer of JRZ Suspension. Every set includes expert setup consultation for your BMW.

The JRZ 12 Series Coilovers for the BMW M3 E46 deliver triple-adjustable damping — independent high-speed compression, low-speed compression, and rebound — giving you complete control over every aspect of chassis behaviour. Built by JRZ Suspension Engineering in the Netherlands, the 12 Series is the go-to choice for E46 M3 owners who want track-capable performance without sacrificing street manners. For a simpler setup, see the 11 Series. For race-spec options, explore the RS PRO or RS PRO3.

WHY THE 12 SERIES EXISTS

The E46 M3 is one of the most rewarding chassis BMW ever built — but extracting its full potential requires damping control beyond what a single-adjustable system can provide. The 12 Series lets you independently tune how the car reacts to kerbs, bumps, and weight transfer, making it equally at home on a canyon road or a timed session.

  • Triple-adjustable — separate high-speed compression, low-speed compression, and rebound knobs let you dial in precise behaviour for any condition
  • Mono-tube, remote reservoir — consistent performance with zero fade, even during extended track sessions in hot conditions
  • Application-specific valving — each set is valved for the E46 M3’s weight, geometry, and tyre characteristics
Not sure which series?
The 12 Series is JRZ’s flagship — a motorsport-grade triple-adjustable damper at the top of the entire range. The 11 Series offers motorsport-grade double adjustment at a lower price point. For street/track use, the RS PRO3 provides triple adjustment from the RS line.

HAND BUILT IN THE NETHERLANDS

Every JRZ 12 Series set is assembled by hand at JRZ’s facility in the Netherlands. Each damper is individually dyno-tested and serialised before shipping. This isn’t mass production — it’s precision manufacturing with full traceability from raw materials to finished product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What’s the difference between high-speed and low-speed compression?
Low-speed compression controls body movement during weight transfer, braking, and cornering — the forces you feel at street and moderate track speeds. High-speed compression handles sharp impacts like kerbs, bumps, and road imperfections. Adjusting them independently lets you have a compliant ride over rough surfaces while maintaining firm body control through corners.
Is the 12 Series too much for street use?
Not at all. The 12 Series is designed to work brilliantly on the street. The additional adjustability simply gives you more options — you can soften everything for daily driving comfort and firm it up for track days. Many owners run a street-oriented setting 90% of the time and only adjust for events.
What spring rates should I choose?
Spring rates depend on your intended use. Street packages prioritise ride comfort with controlled body movement. Track packages use stiffer rates for maximum mechanical grip. We help you choose the right setup during the ordering process based on your driving goals.
How long does installation take?
A qualified shop can install JRZ coilovers on an E46 M3 in 3–5 hours. The kit is fully bolt-on with no cutting or fabrication. We recommend a four-wheel alignment immediately after installation.
Can these be serviced locally?
All JRZ dampers are fully rebuildable and revalveable. Meisterschaft Motorsport handles all service and rebuilds in-house. Typical service intervals are every 2–3 years or 30,000–50,000 km depending on use.
