JRZ PROactive Coilovers for the BMW M3 E9x (2007–2013) deliver semi-active electronic damping engineered by JRZ Suspension Engineering in the Netherlands. The PROactive system replaces the factory EDC adaptive suspension with a fully programmable platform that responds in real time to driver inputs and road conditions. Compare with the mechanically adjustable RS PRO3, RS PRO, 12 Series, and 11 Series for the same chassis.

WHY THE PROactive EXISTS

The BMW M3 E9x with EDC (Electronic Damper Control) deserves a replacement that preserves the convenience of mode switching while delivering vastly superior performance. The PROactive system reads the chassis thousands of times per second and adjusts continuously — no compromise between comfort and track performance required.

Not sure which series?
The PROactive uses electronically controlled damping to deliver a wider adjustment range than any mechanical damper. For hands-on mechanical tuning, the RS PRO3 (triple-adjustable) or 12 Series (motorsport triple-adjustable) are excellent alternatives.

HAND BUILT IN THE NETHERLANDS

Every PROactive damper set is assembled by hand at JRZ’s facility in Eindhoven. The electronic valving modules are individually calibrated on flow benches before installation, and each system is dyno-verified as a complete unit before shipping.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does the PROactive system differ from factory EDC?
The JRZ PROactive uses a purpose-built mono-tube damper with significantly higher oil volume, larger piston area, and a remote reservoir. The electronic valving operates with far greater range and resolution than the factory EDC system, delivering genuine track performance without sacrificing daily comfort.
Does my E9x M3 need factory EDC for the PROactive?
This specific kit is designed for E9x M3 models with factory EDC (Electronic Damper Control). If your car has the standard non-adaptive suspension, the mechanically adjustable series (11 Series, RS PRO, RS PRO3) are the correct choice.
Can I adjust the damping modes myself?
Yes. The PROactive ECU offers driver-selectable maps that can be switched via in-car controls or an optional external interface. Mode changes happen instantly and can be made at any time including on track.
What maintenance does the electronic system require?
The electronic valving is sealed and maintenance-free under normal use. Standard damper service intervals apply to the mechanical components. Full rebuilds including electronic recalibration are performed at Meisterschaft Motorsport.
What spring rates are available?
We offer street, street/track hybrid, track, and fully custom spring rates. Each option is calibrated specifically for the E9x weight distribution to ensure optimal balance across all driving conditions.
