WHY THE RS TWO FOR THE BMW M3 E46

JRZ RS TWO Coilovers BMW M3 E46 — triple-adjustable motorsport damping built to order in the Netherlands by JRZ Suspension Engineering. Every unit is hand-assembled and dyno-validated before shipping. Browse all JRZ coilovers.

The JRZ RS TWO Coilovers for the BMW M3 E46 deliver double-adjustable damping in a compact twin-tube package — no external reservoir required. Built by JRZ Suspension Engineering in the Netherlands, the RS TWO is designed for E46 M3 owners who want independent compression and rebound adjustment with the simplest possible installation — ideal when packaging constraints or personal preference rule out remote reservoirs. For remote-reservoir alternatives, see the RS PRO, 12 Series, or 11 Series.

WHY THE RS TWO EXISTS

Not every build has room for remote reservoirs — and not every driver wants to route additional lines. The RS TWO packages JRZ’s double-adjustable damping technology into a self-contained twin-tube unit that bolts directly into the E46 M3 without any additional mounting hardware or plumbing.

  • Double-adjustable — independent compression and rebound control via external knobs for precise chassis tuning
  • Twin-tube, no external reservoir — compact self-contained design that simplifies installation and eliminates reservoir mounting considerations
  • Application-specific valving — tuned for the E46 M3’s weight distribution and suspension geometry
Not sure which series?
The RS TWO adds compression adjustment to give you double-adjustable control in a twin-tube design. The RS PRO upgrades to a monotube with external reservoir for sustained track use. Above the RS line, the 11 Series and 12 Series deliver JRZ’s motorsport-grade engineering.

HAND BUILT IN THE NETHERLANDS

Every JRZ RS TWO set is assembled by hand at JRZ’s facility in the Netherlands. Each damper is individually dyno-tested and serialised before shipping. The twin-tube construction is precision-machined to the same tolerances as JRZ’s mono-tube race dampers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why choose twin-tube over mono-tube?
The twin-tube design eliminates the need for an external reservoir, making installation simpler and cleaner. It’s ideal when space is limited or when you prefer not to route reservoir lines. The trade-off is slightly less heat capacity compared to a mono-tube with remote reservoir — but for street driving and moderate track use, the RS TWO performs exceptionally well.
Can the RS TWO handle track days?
Yes. The RS TWO is well-suited for track days and spirited street driving. For extended endurance sessions or very hot conditions, a mono-tube with remote reservoir (like the RS PRO) offers more thermal capacity. For occasional track use and regular street driving, the RS TWO is an excellent choice.
Is installation really simpler without reservoirs?
Significantly. With no reservoirs to mount, no lines to route, and no fittings to connect, the RS TWO installs like a conventional strut or shock. A qualified shop can complete the installation in 2–3 hours with a standard alignment afterward.
What spring rates should I choose?
Spring rates depend on your intended use. Street packages prioritise ride comfort with controlled body movement. Track packages use stiffer rates for maximum mechanical grip. We help you choose the right setup during the ordering process based on your driving goals.
Can I upgrade to a reservoir-based system later?
Switching from an RS TWO to a mono-tube reservoir system (like the RS PRO) requires a complete damper change — they are fundamentally different architectures. We recommend choosing the design that matches your long-term plans from the start. Contact us if you’re unsure which suits your needs.
