Setup Help

We help you dial it in

JRZ RS PRO double adjustable damper with external reservoir for the BMW M3 E36 (1991-1999). 21 clicks of rebound and 14 clicks of compression adjustment for precise tuning across street and track conditions. The external reservoir provides consistent damping under sustained hard driving. Built to order through Meisterschaft Motorsport Engineering, the official U.S. importer of JRZ Suspension. Every set includes expert setup consultation for your BMW.

The JRZ RS PRO Coilovers for the BMW M3 E36 are a double-adjustable, race-spec damper system with independent compression and rebound control. Engineered by JRZ Suspension Engineering in the Netherlands, the RS PRO bridges the gap between street-oriented coilovers and full competition hardware — delivering the adjustability and build quality demanded by time-attack, endurance racing, and serious track-day drivers. For street-focused alternatives, see the 11 Series or 12 Series. For maximum adjustability, explore the RS PRO3.

WHY THE RS PRO EXISTS

The E36 M3 remains one of the most popular club racing and time-attack platforms worldwide. The RS PRO was designed for owners who need race-proven internals and precise damping control but don’t require the triple-adjustable complexity of the RS PRO3. It delivers immediate, tactile feedback that lets drivers extract the full mechanical potential of the E36 chassis.

  • Double-adjustable — independent compression and rebound control via external knobs for rapid trackside tuning
  • Mono-tube, remote reservoir — race-spec construction with superior heat dissipation for consistent performance lap after lap
  • Race-spec valving — optimised for the E36 M3’s weight distribution and suspension geometry at competition speeds
Not sure which series?
The RS PRO is JRZ’s double-adjustable monotube with external reservoir — the most capable double-adjustable option in the RS line. The RS PRO3 adds triple adjustment with high/low-speed compression separation. Above the RS line, the 11 Series and 12 Series offer full motorsport-grade performance.

HAND BUILT IN THE NETHERLANDS

Every JRZ RS PRO set is assembled by hand at JRZ’s facility in the Netherlands. Each damper is individually dyno-tested and serialised before shipping. These are the same internals found in professional motorsport applications — built with full traceability from raw materials to finished product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes the RS PRO different from the 12 Series?
The RS PRO uses race-spec internal components — different shim stacks, piston designs, and oil specifications compared to the street-oriented 12 Series. It’s double-adjustable (compression + rebound) rather than triple-adjustable, but with internals designed to perform at sustained high loads typical of racing. The 12 Series is better for street/track dual-use; the RS PRO is built for dedicated track cars.
Can I still drive this on the street?
Yes, with appropriate spring rates and damping settings. However, the RS PRO is optimised for track performance. If street comfort is a primary concern, the 11 Series or 12 Series will deliver a better daily-driving experience while still performing well on track days.
How quickly can I adjust settings trackside?
Both compression and rebound adjustments are accessible via external knobs — no tools required. You can make changes between sessions in under a minute. Many drivers make small adjustments throughout a race weekend as track conditions and tyre wear change.
What spring rates are recommended for racing?
Track spring rates for the E36 M3 RS PRO depend on the class rules, tyre compound, and driving style. We work with you during the ordering process to specify rates that match your competition goals. Custom rates are available for specific class requirements.
How often do race dampers need servicing?
For competition use, we recommend service intervals of every 12–18 months or after every race season. For track-day use, every 2–3 years is typical. Meisterschaft Motorsport handles all rebuilds and revalving in-house with quick turnaround times.
